The SFI UREKA SITE, FEATURE, aims to provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to conduct a challenging and meaningful research project in an excellent research environment where science and engineering are presented in a fun and engaging way.

Successful candidates for the FEATURE site at the FOCAS Institute, D.I.T. will work full-time in areas such as chemistry, physics, radiation biology and materials science. In addition a programme of tutorials, support training and seminars will take place which will vary from previous years.

The scheme is open to undergraduate students in chemistry, physics or biology or related disciplines. Students already in or finished the final year of their degree are not eligible.

Successful candidates will receive a stipend of €300 per week, tax exempt, for the duration of the site. FEATURE will operate for 12 weeks during the summer break June 14th– September 3th 2010.
